Two Rivers Ohakune is all about rest and recuperation. That may be after a day adventuring or just because you need time out. Local adventures include the Tongariro Alpine Crossing, skiing at Whakapapa or Tūroa, and a network of short walks and cycling trails.

We provide a serene location on the rural fringe of Ohakune. The Mangawhero and Mangateitei rivers pass alongside the garden. Each suite has a rural view, across the rivers, farmland and up to Tongariro National Park and Mt Ruapehu.

The Mangateitei and Mangawhero suites were built in traditional style in 2018, internally they are modern, cosy and offer a luxurious place to rest. There is a private entry to each suite. There is no party wall, so your privacy is assured. The Mangawhero Suite has a private hot tub.

Rua Awa is a standalone suite away from the house and the other guest suites, with private parking, deck and hot tub. This is the ultimate Two Rivers experience.

All suites have private ensuites with powerful showers, ideal after a day adventuring. Continuous hot water, towels, and all toiletries are provided for your convenience. Spa towels are also provided.

Enjoy a 15-minute riverside walk to Ohakune Town Centre where cafes, shops and restaurants await. Ask us about food experiences and we will happily make recommendations and arrange reservations if needed.

Our guests expect a relaxing and quiet break, following guest feedback we have chosen to become an adults-only establishment.

Guests in the Mangawhero and Mangateitei suites have private entries, a shared drying room and a secure storage shed for skis, boards and bikes including access to power. The Rua Awa suite has private access and private drying room/storage.

Our guests will also receive a 10% discount from the Cyprus Tree Bar and Restaurant and also TCB ski and bike hire.

Our standard check-in hours are between 4PM and 10PM. We request you check out before 10:30AM. Please feel free to request hours outside of that, but we often cannot confirm until the day before your arrival due to operational reasons and capacity.
